Bluebonnets

This time of year scenes like this
dot the Texas landscape, especially
in and around the Hill Country near Austin.
Bluebonnets are a "B" to paint. They
have been done so well by so many I
never feel mine version measures up.

Next week I'm headed to the Hill Country
to teach a workshop. I'm sure there
will still be plenty of bluebonnets in
bloom to paint. I think I should put
in some good studio time this week
practicing.
